Since March 2022, the Federal Reserve has been raising interest rates in an effort to combat inflation, making it difficult to get the low APR of 2020. It is expected that rates will start to decrease in early 2024, with all FOMC members predicting rates will remain stable or higher through 2023. However, it is unlikely that we will see any interest rate cooling in 2023, with rates expected to settle at 2.5% by 2025.
